Pitch a guest post or sponsored post to WiFi Weekly. What we accept, our standards, how sponsored posts are labeled, and how to pitch.
WiFi Weekly publishes practical, accurate coverage of home networking for readers in the US and other English-speaking countries. We accept guest posts and sponsored posts that help those readers.
What we publish
- Routers and mesh Wi-Fi: buying advice, setup and comparisons
- Wi-Fi 6, 6E and 7: explained clearly and accurately
- Internet plans and providers: how to choose, and what plans really include
- Troubleshooting: slow Wi-Fi, dead zones, dropouts and lag
- Smart home and IoT connectivity
- Network security and privacy at home
- Gaming and streaming network performance
- Small office and work-from-home networking
We’re most interested in original experience and expertise: things you have set up, fixed, measured or know professionally.
Our standards
Guest and sponsored posts meet the same editorial policy as our own articles.
- Original and unpublished. No content published elsewhere, spun, or generated without human expertise and checking.
- Accurate and sourced. Link to primary sources for specifications and technical claims, such as manufacturer pages, standards bodies or FCC documents.
- Honest about testing. Say whether you physically tested a product. Never invent speed, range or latency results.
- Useful first. No keyword stuffing, no thin product roundups, and no articles written mainly to place links.
- Written by a real person, under your own name, with a short, accurate bio.
We edit every submission for accuracy, clarity and style, and we may add sources, internal links or a Fact-check notes table. We decide the final headline and publication date.
Sponsored posts
We accept sponsored posts. Every sponsored post:
- is labeled “Sponsored” at the top of the article and names the sponsor;
- is reviewed by our editors and must meet our accuracy standards;
- uses link attributes that follow Google’s guidelines for paid links (rel=“sponsored”).
We don’t sell placement in our own reviews, rankings or recommendations, and sponsored posts never change them.
Links
Links must help the reader. We review every link and may remove or change any that don’t. Links in sponsored posts are marked as sponsored.
What we don’t accept
- Gambling, adult, cryptocurrency-trading, payday-loan or other unrelated topics
- Content that impersonates a brand or person, or makes claims you can’t back up
- Fake reviews, invented test results or undisclosed paid promotion
How to pitch
Email [email protected] with:
- Your name and a one-line bio, including any networking or industry experience
- Two or three headline ideas, each with a sentence on who it helps and why
- Links to two published samples
- Whether the pitch is a guest post or a sponsored post; for sponsored posts, include the brand or company involved
Please don’t send a finished article before we’ve agreed on the topic. We reply to pitches that fit, usually within a week.
